Happy New Years! I can't actually believe it's 2013... wow that went by fast..

Anyways, for my nails today I decided to create the little yellow minions from Despicable Me! I thought these turned out amazingly cute and I love them so much.

As my base coat i used Big Yellow Taxi by Ciate and for the bottom rim of blue I used Glass Slipper by Ciate( these were both form my amazing advent calendar!) I used acrylic paint for the rest.

If you have never seen these little creatures before here is a picture form the movie!

Thank You so much for reading and hope you guys have a fantastic start to a new year!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hope you all had an awesome Christmas. I know I sure did. Got TONS of new nail stuff including...yes wait for it.... a nail shelf!!! I'm so happy you don't even know. I also got lots of new polishes, new brushes, stamps, striping tape ect. So, overall had a pretty amazing Christmas.

For today's design i decided to create lightning bolts. I really enjoyed doing the galaxy nails and I thought these were pretty similar and I love to do ones like these as they are so fun sponging on different layers!

I think they turned out pretty good! Don't know if they really look like lightning bolts but oh well!

Thanks everybody for reading! So what did you guys get for Christmas? Stay tuned for New Years nails!

Sunday 16 December 2012

I hope you guys are all excited for christmas! Christmas is actually my favourite holiday like no joke. I'm in a really good mood right now because I just got the Iphone 5! omg I'm dying...

Anywaysss so onto today's post. I really wanted to do christmas nails (obviously) so these are just a version of what i think Christmas is about, Santa, presents, elves, snowmen and gingerbread men.

So on my thumb I have a Christmas gift, on my pointer finger I have Santa, on my middle finger I have an elf, on my ring finger I have a snowman and finally on my pinky I have a gingerbread man!

So overall this design turned out really well I think and it's perfect for Christmas!

Thanks for reading! Let's count down the days 'till Christmas break! :)

Guys... Ok please don't be mad at me. I have neglected my blog for like 2 weeks I'm so sorry but I have been CRAZY busy with everything imaginable. Ugh.

But, on the brighter side of things I have some great news to share! So, I was at the Bay looking at shirts for my dad (fun I know) and I look over at the cosmetic counter and what do I find...the ciate mini mani month advent calendar!! Yes, I am so excited you don't even know! This means I get a new nail polish everyday until Christmas!!! So I'm like super stoked for some awesome colours whichhhh I will be using in some of my designs!

Monday 12 November 2012

Hope everyone is having an awesome long weekend!

So yesterday was Remembrance Day and i just wanted to say to all the soldiers out there that we will always remember and appreciate what you all did for us and thank you!

Onto this design! So as we all know this month is Movemeber! In case you don't know what this is, during November each year, thousands of men across Canada and the world grow mustaches to raise funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.

When you see some good looking 'staches out there now you will know why!

Ok....obviously i can't grow a beard so i thought, hmmm what's the next best thing? Oh! of course! my nails! Now, these mustaches were harder to create they look but i think i managed!

The polished i used are Essie in Blanc and Withcraft in #17.

Finished off with 2 coats of the amazing Seche Vite!

Thank you everybody for reading and good luck growing some awesome mustaches!

Ok first off let me just say how much i absolutely love this nail design. Like you don't even know. When i first saw this i knew i needed to do it but i was waiting for the right time and this was the right time! So, i saw a picture of this on Chalkboard Nail's blog and fell in love. Then i saw low and behold she did a tutorial on it too! This is how it turned out!

The polishes i used for this design are:

The base colour is Essie in Lilacism, the 2 pinks i used for the owls are Essie in Big Spender and Essie in Watermelon. The colour i used for the branch is Loreal Paris in Because Your Worth It and the beak, eyes ect. were Essie in Blanc and Colour Club in #31

Here is a close up :)

Thanks for reading guys and hope you enjoyed this design!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Tomorrow is Halloween and I'm super excited! I decided to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I think Belle is my favourite princess as she loves people for who they are and not for what they look like...yes i know deep stuff right here. So, i wanted something pretty yet sparkly and just a really elegant design for this princess. This is how it turned out!

For my base coat i used Sephora by OPI in Charge It! I then added some gold glitter from Witchcraft in #29. I then put some pearls and sparkly stars on my thumb and that added a nice touch! For my accent nail, my base coat is Sally Hansen in Mellow Yellow. I used my stamper with the polish SPAritual in Electrum to create a swirly design which turned out really cool!

Finished off with 2 coats Seche Vite like usual and volia! A Belle nail design!

Hope all of you guys out there have a fun and amazing Halloween (can't wait for the treats!)
And thanks for reading :)
